I have spent the last 2 years post study gaining experience working with diverse populations and therefore have worked with a client base with a wide range of capabilities, fitness levels and specialised conditions. Alongside that I have 6 years of personal experience in the gym and have dabbled in multiple team sports such as AFL, Surf boat rowing and netball.

I love introducing people to lifting weights as well as helping individuals’ level up their training. I also have a keen interest in injury rehab and athlete development.

Experience
Over 5 years’ experience working in multiple roles within the fitness industry and 10 years of personal interest in gym-based fitness. I also play local AFL and don’t plan on stopping!

Specific Training Interests
I have a specific interest in teaching women that lifting weights is fun! I love teaching & educating people in the fundamentals of weight training, so they have the knowledge and confidence to conquer their own goals in and outside of the gym.

My main passions revolve around sport-specific movements, resistance training, cardio-respiratory fitness and injury prevention.

Group Fitness Instructor, competitive soccer and AFL, and over 15 years personal experience within the fitness industry.

Sporting & Fitness Background
I’m big on variety, and enjoy high-intensity interval training, functional based resistance training, Muay Thai, and surfing out in the ocean.

Endurance events, e.g. fun runs, triathlons and open water swimming. Injury rehabilitation and prevention.

My background includes AFL, rugby, weightlifting & powerlifting. In recent years my main focus has been Strength / Conditioning, strongman & competitive Crossfit.

Improving athletic performance. Strength sports. Correcting movement & muscle imbalances

I believe in building a foundation of strength through full range of motion compound lifts, whilst expanding our movement library to encompass as many different movement disciplines as possible. As humans we should be ready for anything.

Movement is such an awesome way to appreciate what your body can do and learn more about what you can improve on. It should never be used as a punishment or compensatory behaviour. When you reframe this in your mind, it becomes far more rewarding.
